A look back at the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED) 2025
On 4 March 2025, we were delighted to be a partner in the World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development (WED), organised in Paris by UNESCO and the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO). This international event marked the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and UNESCO, as well as the 10th anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Under the theme 'Unleashing the power of engineers to advance the Sustainable Development Goals', the day brought together world leaders, engineering professionals and stakeholders committed to a more sustainable future. An event that highlighted the essential role of engineering in the environmental and energy transition of our societies.
Egis is pleased to have contributed to this event with an exclusive video presenting its commitments and actions in terms of eco-design and innovation to help build more resilient infrastructures and territories. The video showcases some of our iconic projects and our commitment to supporting the changes needed for a more sustainable world.
